OK, so maybe you're not screening the next Star Wars movie, but you have video or audio files that are important to your web site visitors.
Streaming audio or video is a technology that allows the sound or video to start playing as soon as a reasonable amount of data has been downloaded. Instead of waiting for the entire piece to get loaded on your computer, only a small amount is downloaded before it begins to play. Then, while you watch or listen, the rest is downloaded and "streamed" for you to enjoy.
It's a great way to display that presentation that needs those moving images or a voiceover effect.
